Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

that when we receive His Spirit, we will have power to witesns unto Him. If you have accepted Jesus as your savior you have received His Spirit and have the power to witesns to others about Him.When many people think about the disciples being filled with the Holy Spirit they just think about the day of Pentecost, which was only the first of many times. If we serve God, He refills us anytime we grow weak. If we are saved His Spirit is always in us, but sometimes we need a refilling to serve Him with the Power He intended. See the verses below, to see what He said and did. These verses are the Promise Jesus gave.Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witesnses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. These are about the first time they were filled on the day of Pentecost.Act 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.Act 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.Act 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. These are about a time of need and stress when He filled them again, to give them power they needed. Notice that in both instances they were praying in one accord. This is what the body of Christ needs to do today. Pray in one accord that He will give us the power to serve Him.Act 4:24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:Act 4:25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?Act 4:26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.Act 4:27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,Act 4:28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.Act 4:29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,Act 4:30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.Act 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
